What is a mineral

In science class today we studied about minerals and we found out that minerals are solid, naturally occurring, inorganic, fixed composition, cyristal form. We also found out that the hardest mineral is a diamond and the softest it talc. One thing that could help you on a test {which will help me next week} is these questions that will help you figure out if the object is a mineral or a non mineral

• Is it non-living
• Is it a solid
• is it formed in the nature
